When the moment comes for an attack in the hills, a long solo move, or a full-gas sprint for the line, every watt counts, which is why we designed the S-Works Ares to be the most efficient and powerful performance shoe ever made. We combined decades of Body Geometry development with obsessive innovation working with the world's best athletes to completely reimagine the race shoe. An entirely new, patent-pending closure system, Dyneema-reinforced tongueless sock, and ultra-stiff FACT Powerline carbon outsole eliminate foot roll, reduce pressure on tendons, and transfer every ounce of power to the pedals for unprecedented performance and comfort. It's 1% faster than any shoe we've ever made, and at the finish line, that's all that matters.
- The key to more comfort, fewer injuries, and higher power output comes from our ergonomically designed, scientifically tested Body Geometry features: Longitudinal Arch, Varus Wedge, and personalized insoles with a Metatarsal Button. When used in harmony, these three features align the hip, foot, and knee, while also limiting medial/lateral knee movement and maintaining good circulation down to your toes.
- Patent-pending closure design secures the foot for extreme, out-of-saddle efforts, locking the metatarsals and preventing lateral roll.
- Dyneema is sandwiched between layers of synthetic mesh and TPU to create no-stretch zones for the ultimate connection and comfort.
- Our stiffest and lightest FACT Powerline carbon plate maximizes power transfer: Stiffness Index 15.
- Independent BOA Li2 Fit System for on-the-fly micro-adjustment, backed by the Boa Guarantee.
- PadLock heel construction cradles the heel and is proven to improve acceleration.
- Non-slip, replaceable heel tread with internally recessed screws for security.
- Form Fit last with a roomy toe box for the ultimate in connectivity and comfort.
- Titanium alloy cleat nuts can rotate to position cleats 5mm rearward and fits all major 3-hole road pedals.
- Approximate weight: 220g (1/2 pair, Size 42)

The upper is then paired with the medium-stiffness FACT carbon sole and a rubber heel and toe that provide the perfect degree of off-the-bike traction. For the closure, Specialized added a single lightweight Boa IP1 dial that features tool-free snap replacement capability, while also providing simple, on-the-fly micro-adjustments.

From the outset of the Torch 3.0 Road shoe design process, our goal was to create a performance offering as feature-packed as any top-end shoe. The challenge, however, was pulling this off at a palatable price.
In order to achieve this, we utilized three strategically placed materials on the uppers that are welded together—TPU and mesh in the front and synthetic leather in the rear. This makes for a more comfortable and supportive front of the shoe. A stiff rear and heel cup, meanwhile, lock down your heel and keep all of your watts going into the pedals as efficiently as possible. This refined upper is combined with our legendary FACT carbon fiber sole to further ensure an efficient power transfer. Finally, we topped the Torch 3.0 off with two Boa S2-SV Snap dials for zonal closure, and a precise fit that leads to all-day comfort.
- Body Geometry sole construction and footbeds are ergonomically designed and scientifically tested to boost power, increase efficiency, and reduce chance of injury by optimizing hip, knee, and foot alignment.
- FACT carbon composite sole and torsion box construction is directionally rigid for outstanding power transfer: Stiffness Index 8.5.
- Dual Boa S2-SV Snap dial closure for on-the-fly micro-adjustment, backed by the Boa Lifetime Guarantee.
- Mesh, TPU, and synthetic layer upper are placed in specific zones for comfort and lock-down, and are thermobonded for a superior fit.
- Standard Fit for support and all-day comfort.
- Three-bolt cleat pattern fits all major road pedals.

With the Recon 1.0 our goal was simple - put S-Works Recon-inspired performance in a very accessible package. Easier said than done, but we've created a shoe with Body Geometry comfort and efficiency in a durable, dirt-focused shoe. So yeah, mission accomplished.
Using our exclusive STRIDE toe-flex technology, the nylon outsole uses a TPU-injected forefoot for natural movement off-bike, while still providing a stiffness index of 6.0 for in-the-saddle performance. The Recon 1.0 is a double threat - efficiency at the pedals with comfort and confidence off bike.
To create traction off the bike in wet or dry, gravel or dirt, we've covered the nylon outsole with our SlipNot compound. We've also lifted the heel for an even more natural feeling while walking.
Three Velcro closures make slipping into the Recon 1.0 easy, and creates a fit designed for all day comfort and performance, whether your ride calls for open gravel, twisting single track, and more than your fair share of hike-a-bike.
- Body Geometry sole and footbed are built with purpose and backed by science to boost power, increase efficiency, and reduce the chance of injury by optimizing hip, knee, and foot alignment.

To create traction off the bike in wet or dry, gravel or dirt, we've covered the nylon outsole with our SlipNot compound. If the traction's needed in the wet, you can also rest easy knowing the XPEL mesh used through the Recon 2.0 won't get bogged down with water and will dry exceptionally quickly. No more wet shoes the morning after a wet ride.

The S-Works EXOS EVO is the lightest off-road shoe we've ever created. Our world-class design team developed a proprietary Dyneema layup that drastically lowered the weight of the upper while simultaneously maximizing strength and increasing pliancy to create a 232g featherweight racing shoe for all terrain, with none of the weight. To secure the foot we've used the newly released BOA Li2 dial, featuring an increased level of micro-adjustment, a lower profile, and a refined ergonomic design to give riders the ability to precisely tune their fit. We've paired this precision fit with a reimagined toe box, which uses a sleeve that stretches comfortably over the top of the toes and forefoot while maintaining room for movement and flexion. The S-Works EXOS EVO also features the XC FACT carbon sole. Our stiffest and lightest off-road plate to date, the XC FACT sole has a stiffness index of 13.0. Which means all your power goes right to the pedals. And Like all our shoes, the S-Works EXOS EVO is built on the foundation of Body Geometry—to boost power, increase efficiency, and reduce the risk of injury by optimizing hip, knee, and foot alignment. With a proprietary Dyneema upper that comfortably wraps the foot without compromising hold, it's also the most comfortable XC race shoe we've ever made.

What makes the perfect cycling shoe? Is it exceptional power transfer? Superior Comfort? Undeniable style? The simple answer is 'yes' to all of the above. With the S-Works 7, you get a shoe with no compromises.
We took a no holds barred approach to transferring every bit of your power to the pedals. The lighter and stiffer Powerline carbon sole is new and brought to you by the same team that developed Rider-First Engineering. Why's this special? Because it led to their lightest and stiffest carbon outsole to date. A completely refined Padlock Heel, meanwhile, packs in more comfort with the same exceptional heel hold that you found in the previous iteration. And finally, the space-grade Dyneema material used in the upper doesn't stretch when pulled on, making sure that your foot stays where it's supposed to. With these all features combined, you can be sure that Specialized kept in line with the motto "every watt is sacred."
In the comfort arena, Specialized kept all of the Body Geometry features you know and love, like the Longitudinal Arch, Varus Wedge, and Metatarsal Button. Each one of these features have been ergonomically designed and scientifically tested to not only boost power, but also to increase efficiency and reduce the risk of injury. They also took luxury into account by designing the S-Works 7 to have form that complements its function, so you'll find seams that are bonded together, rather than sewn, cleaning up the lines and contouring to your foot with slipper-like comfort. The custom CNC'd alloy BOA dials add some panache, but they also feature durable spring clutch internals and precise, one-millimeter micro-adjustments that let you perfectly dial in your fit.
The S-Works 7 embodies everything Specialized knows about footwear, compacted into one shoe–no compromises, no shortcuts, just explosive speed and superior comfort.
