Let's get something clear, the Stumpjumper EVO Alloy isn't a "normal" trail bike. It's built to get gnarly, plain, and simple. Featuring the same all-new design as its carbon brethren including an adjustable head tube angle, 150mm of performance tuned travel, the adaptability of S-Sizing, and SWAT Door integration in a lightweight yet tough M5 Alloy chassis, you're going to be able to bomb down trails that you thought you couldn't touch without a full-blown DH rig. Spec'd with a no-fuss SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain, bomber 30mm-wide alloy wheels, and plush Fox FLOAT Performance suspension, there's no question the Stumpjumper EVO Comp Alloy is dressed to shred. - All the travel in the world is useless without the proper shock tuning and kinematics. For the new Stumpjumper EVO design, we prioritized kinematic performance. Applying lessons learned while developing the Enduro, then following that with more than 1,000 hours of field and suspension lab development, we've not only improved the pedaling performance of the Stumpjumper, but we've made it more capable, agile, and lively. We increased anti-squat, so the suspension better resists pedal bob, and we further improved bump performance on square-edge hits. Bottom line? This thing shreds trails, not legs. - Rider-First Engineered frames use a size-specific approach to ride characteristics that ensures benchmark handling and flawless performance, regardless of frame or rider size. Whether you're a jump-happy grom riding an S1, or a DH-fiend giant in need of the lengthy S6, you'll experience the same ride traits, rail-sharp cornering, and balanced front and rear stiffness, at the lightest-possible weight. - The S-Sizing geometry of the new Stumpjumper EVO is our most progressive yet. Long, low, slack, short offset fork, steeper seat tube angle, these are requirements for modern progressive riding. But not everyone jibs the same way, which is why the geo on the new Stumpjumper EVO is fully adjustable with six different settings. You can adjust the BB height by 10mm, you can adjust your head angle by two-degrees, and you can make these adjustments independently of each other. Finally, if you want to go full-party mullet-mode, the EVO lets you run a 27.5-inch rear wheel mated with a 29-inch front. - We introduced the SWAT door on the Stumpjumper in 2016, adding room IN your frame for those "oh sh**t" necessities like pumps and spare tubes, and immediately rendering jersey pockets redundant."
Total control, unparalleled bump-eating suspension, and a fine-tunable geometry are hallmarks of the all-new Stumpjumper EVO Expert. Top it off with a build that blends quality, affordability, and durability, and it's the perfect trail partner, no matter where those trails are, or how rowdy they get. - What do you get when you pair a 29-inch front wheel with a 27.5-inch rear wheel? The Stumpjumper EVO Expert, that's what. With all of the traction and handling benefits of a 29er, but with a smaller, more maneuverable rear wheel, this mullet setup suits a more jibby, playful style. It's right at home at the bike park, and is a total blast to cut loose with on the trail. - All the travel in the world is useless without the proper shock tuning and kinematics. If in doubt, take a Bronson out. From flat out on the trail to fully flat over a table, if you wanna send it the Bronson delivers. The 150mm-travel bike can go deep on any landing and the VPP™ suspension design makes sure that there's no wasted energy when heading back up for another go. If you value style at speed or want to have fun feeling fast, then mixed wheels (29" up front, 27.5" out back) are the right choice. The larger front wheel provides more traction and stability that'll make you feel more confident squaring off the turns and diving for the inside lines. But a 27.5-inch tire in the rear means this bike still loves getting up on the back wheel and into the air. Design Details: - SRAM Eagle Transmission - stronger, better shifting, wirelessly The next generation SRAM Eagle Transmission specced on our CC-carbon models is a radically robust, fully integrated, and interdependent wireless transmission. Built around the universal constant of the wheel axle itself, the Full Mount hangerless attachment creates a far stronger connection to the frame and the super strong derailleur provides unprecedented strength. Shifting under load is made possible due to a combination of X-SYNC technology and cassette mapping, creating seamless shifts even during your hardest power output. The new AXS Pods are extremely ergonomic and highly customizable, so shifting gears is light and intuitive. It's simply the most advanced transmission and nearly as tough as the mountain itself. - 150mm VPP™ travel The 150mm-travel bike has enough travel to go deep on any landing and the VPP™ suspension design makes sure that there's no wasted energy when heading back up for another go. - Mix of both worlds The mixed wheel configuration of a 29-inch wheel up front provides traction and stability, while the 27.5" rear wheel allows for quick back wheel steering and lifting. - Geo to match The Bronson's chainstay length is matched to frame size so every rider, no matter their height, gets the same balanced geometry and bike fit. - Coil or air The Bronson frame fits all sizes and types of rear shocks. - Made to last many lifetimes The legendary Santa Cruz fit, finish, and quality construction put this into a league of its own. The frame, bearings, and optional Reserve wheels come with a lifetime warranty and any service is easy to do with our Rider Support pledge. - Tough Carbon Frame Why scrap a frame when a simple bearing service can make one last a lifetime? That's our stance on sustainability at least, and it's why our carbon fiber doesn't just mean lighter, it means tough as hell, lifetime warranty, and crash replacement support. Frame Sizing: If you're on the cusp between the recommended height range of two sizes, the absolute best thing is to try to ride them both. At a minimum, check the stack/reach measurements on your current bike and compare it to the new model you are looking at to get an idea of a fit you are already comfortable with. If riding the bike is not an option, consider the following. Personal Preference: A larger size frame will be more stable and will give you more room to move without upsetting the weight balance of the bike. The larger size will put the front wheel further in front of you, which gives the feeling of security and conversely, it will require more significant body movements when you WANT to shift the weight bias of the bike. Think hard about your riding style and how active/intuitive you want it to be vs. stable and speedy. You'll need to work a bit harder to muscle the larger bike around. Body Dimension: Not all bodies at a given height are the same. If you have longer legs and a shorter torso than the average person your height, that may push you towards the smaller of the recommended sizes. If you're all torso and arms, most likely you'll want to size up.

Hightower 3 Highlights: - VPP™ VPP™ suspension can be optimized to strike the right balance between pedaling efficiency and all-out bump-chomping prowess. That means wherever you see "VPP" you know it's tuned to perform exactly how it should for the purpose it's designed for. - 145mm VPP travel Looking for something good at climbing, downhill, and going round and round your local trails? Say hello to Hightower. 145mm in the rear paired with 150mm up front is your perfect combo. - Suspension sensitivity Compared to the last Hightower, we reduced the anti-squat in the first 40% of travel. This noticeably improves suspension sensitivity in both climbing and descending scenarios due to reduced chain influence on the suspension. - Suspension consistency Hightower's leverage curve is relatively straight, with added progression towards the end of the travel. This provides improved bottom-out resistance with more consistent damping and support. - Glovebox Place your ride essentials securely beneath a new high-quality latch and panel in the Hightower's downtube. The Glovebox comes with a fitted Tool Wallet and Tube Purse, tailored for the frame to keep your tools close to hand. - Sag window A window allows easier suspension sag and setup. The details are completed by a neat mud flap to protect the rear shock plus tidy cable routing within the frame and swingarm, and rubberized DT protectors to shrug off strikes. - Flip chip In the Low position, the shock rate becomes more progressive, particularly at the end of the stroke, and there’s some bottom-out resistance to be gained. In the High setting, the bike rides a little higher in its travel and supplies the rider with more mid-stroke support. Tweakers and finicky shredders can adapt the suspension feel to their needs and desires. - 29-inch wheels Hightower features fast-rolling, bump-easing 29-inch wheels front and rear. On high-end builds, we spec Reserve 30|HD carbon rims laced to premium hubs, which are built and hand-tuned in our Santa Cruz, Calif. factory. See Reserve 30|HD wheels.

If we're being honest with ourselves, learning to ride, back in the day, bordered on a traumatic event. The crashes, oh the crashes. These days, however, kids have it easy with awesome little bikes like our Boy's Hotwalk. With no pedals or gears, it's designed to help Junior finds his balance by making it as easy as possible to put his feet down. In fact, scooting around with his feet is how the bike moves (outside of gravity), so he'll get used to the feeling of riding without much of the risk. Even better for you, there isn't much that can break should the bike hit the deck on the pump track, so there's less maintenance then with a "traditional" bike. That's right, you get parental hero status, and they have the time of their lives while learning to ride. Win-win. - Durable and tough, the A1 Premium Aluminum walking frame is designed specifically for little ones to scoot around safely. - The 12-inch alloy wheels are not only light, but durable enough to take plenty of abuse. - The Rhythm Lite Sport tires are heavy-duty, and allow your little dude to scoot around on- and off-road.
Don’t worry, S-Works doesn’t get to have all of the fun—the new Stumpjumper Comp Carbon 29 features the same frame with a full 11m carbon chassis and rear-end as its older brother, but with a solid list of no-fuss components for an everyman's budget. - The Stumpjumper's asymmetrical, FACT 11m carbon fiber construction is lightweight, stiff, and ready to take on the trail. It's built off our 29 Trail Geometry, so it's just the right amount of both capable and comfortable. And with SWAT integration in the down tube, a threaded BB, easy cable routing, and an all new chain silencer, it's ready for anything the trail, or you, throw at it - The FOX DPS Performance rear shock features our Rx Trail Tune, ensuring that no matter the wheel or frame size, your bike is dialed-in perfectly - A FOX 34 Rhythm fork handles suspension duties up front, with stiff stanchions and plenty of adjustability
The rebel yell of the middle child. Fed a steady diet of super-tech climbs. The SB130 was built to crush the biggest terrain. No trail "too" anything. Point it up or down. Enter a last-minute enduro just for the eff of it. We say no one bike can rule all. But the SB130? One bike that rules. The SB130 possesses a distinct, big mountain feel for riders constantly exposed to uncharted terrain. - Long reach—Puts riders in a balanced position perfectly centered on the bike, ready to tackle the unknown. - 150mm fork—Because our 130mm of rear suspension outperforms similarly stroked forks and pairs well with our more forward-biased position. - Front end doesn't wander while climbing and stays composed when pointed downhill—the rider position remains neutral. Low Slung, Long Drop - Long stroke dropper post capability throughout the entire size range for greater agility. At home When You're Not - The deeper you go, the higher you climb, the later you brake, the more comfortable SB130 becomes. Bottom line, the term "trail bike" gets used pretty liberally at Yeti. Balance, Achieved - Refined for the unknown and everything in between, the SB130's Switch Infinity provides a more progressive ride without affecting the anti-squat properties. Silence is TURQ - Internally routed cable tubes from end to end for silent function and less translation of housing during suspension movement.
All too often, corners are cut to meet price-points in the entry-level road bike market, but the Allez redefines what it means to be "entry level." Focusing on weight, refinement, and reliability like nothing else in its class, the Allez is the first to make these technologies accessible to everyone. Whether you're just getting into road cycling, commuting, or looking for a new bike, the Allez is just as performance-packed as it is versatile. - Not only does a lightweight bike feel better when you're climbing up a hill, but it's also essential when you're carrying your bike up to the 5th floor, and this was at the forefront of the frame design. With a redesigned E5 Alloy frame, the Allez features a class-leading weight. Aggressively thin-walled, yet tough tubes have been implemented to save weight and this results in over a 450g (1-pound) reduction in the frame and fork alone, when compared to some models of yesteryear. - Entry-level road bikes often feature either alloy or cheap carbon fiber forks that greatly detract from the overall ride quality. But with a full FACT carbon fiber fork, the Allez is better handling, smoother riding, and lower in weight—floating over rough chip-seal and carving through corners like a slalom skier. - For the geometry, we developed the Allez by utilizing our vast Retul fit database. This meant creating a geometry that's sure to cover a broad range of positions, while still providing the performance-minded handling you'd expect from your first bike. - This Allez also features integrated rack and fender mounts, allowing you to move weight off your back and onto a lightweight rack. This not only makes for a good road bike, but it also enables you to transform it into a fast commuter.
Wait—a long-travel trail bike that climbs well and goes hard on the trail? Yeah, we didn’t think it was possible either—until we designed the Enduro Elite. It’s plenty stiff, nice and snappy, and with 27.5" wheels, it's super playful and descends like a bike possessed. Meet your new trail buddy, buddy. Our quest was to create the perfect long-travel trail bike, and it all began with a close look at the geometry. Basically, we modernized it— slacking out the front end, lengthening the top tube, shortening the chainstays, and lowering the bottom bracket. All of this together makes the bike truly feel glued to the ground, and the platform is more responsive and capable than ever. We then added some crucial bits to make your ride, well, better. We're talking stuff like integrated storage with a SWAT Door at the down tube, a triumphant return to a threaded bottom bracket, and internal cable routing with guides that makes cabling super easy. And to keep the weight down, the frame is constructed with our legendary, tough-as-nails X-Wing layout with a FACT 9m carbon fiber chassis and M5 alloy rear-end. To guarantee high degrees of "shredability," this material choice is greeted by 170mm of plush front and rear travel, plus a geometry that can be "adjusted" via a shock extension with a "low/high" setting. For the build, this Enduro is packed with drool-worthy gear, like SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed shifting, powerful SRAM Code R brakes, hand-built Roval wheels, and a FOX Rhythm 36 fork up front. - The frame has an X-Wing layout with a FACT 9m carbon chassis and an M5 alloy rear-end. Together, these elements combine to form the perfect balance of low weight, responsive handling, and unparalleled strength. It's also been built off our 27.5 Geometry in order to provide an aggressive, well-rounded ride. And with internal Command Post IR routing, a return to a threaded bottom bracket, and an integrated SWAT Door at the down tube, you get a bike that's clean, dependable, and ready for anything that the trail has to offer. - The FOX Performance Elite DPX2 rear shock features our Rx Trail Tune and plenty of cushion, ensuring that no matter the frame size, your bike is dialed-in perfectly. - A FOX Rhythm 36 fork handles suspension duties up front with stiff stanchions, plenty of adjustability, and 170mm of travel.

Ripping around between the tape is one way to worship at the altar of speed, but for all the other long, fast rides or marathon races on technical terrain, there's our all-new Epic Expert EVO. Consider it a more "epic" kind of Epic. Take a look around our office and you're going to see plenty Epics—most of them wearing dropper posts, wider tires and bars, and slightly longer forks. That's because the Epics that we're Frankensteining are not only fast off the start line, they're even better suited to masochistically long rides, multi-day stage races, and fast backcountry missions. At some point, we looked around and said to ourselves, “We should offer this bike, right out of the box, right?” So we did. So let's dig into the details. First off, the EVO ups the fork travel from 100mm to 120mm. This gives you some relief up front while also slacking-out the front-end by one-degree to 68.5º. Next up, we added a zero-offset dropper post to give you more control on descents, but this design keeps your saddle over the BB on steep climbs. We also put some meat on the tires with a grippy 2.3" Ground Control at the front and a stiffer Fast Trak at the rear with GRID protection at the sidewalls. The Epic EVO also features our Brain 2.0. The OG Brain changed the way the bike world looked at suspension, and oh was it good. It won races and put a flag in the ground for us as a true leader in innovation and suspension development, but we knew that we could make it better. Simple physics told us that, by moving the Brain closer to the rear axle, it would be in the most sensitive spot. And after some lengthy R&D, it's totally new. Now, it reacts seamlessly to bump forces, it has much more consistent damping performance, and finally, it integrates the hoses into the suspension links. This means that the oil paths are improved, and that creates an incredibly sleek package that outperforms anything on the market. This is also among our first Rider-First Engineered MTB frames, where the tubes place complex carbon pieces in all the right places, regardless of the frame size. As a result, stiffness is increased in the front-end for a vast improvement in the ride and in control. And to go along with this, each frame size has size-specific tubes that result in the stiffest, best-riding XC bike we've ever developed. And while stiffness, Brain technology, and geometry features are cool and all, we know what you’re thinking, "What about the weight?” We’re glad you asked. The weight-savings on the frame is equivalent to shedding a chainstay and shock extension from the previous Epic—nearly 525 grams. And now, carbon models also feature additional tire clearance to accommodate wider, 2.3-inch tires. More traction, ultimately, equals more speed. The build of the Epic Expert EVO meshes shredability with dependability and value, featuring a 12-speed SRAM GX Eagle groupset, SRAM Level TL brakes, and a hand-built Roval Control Carbon wheelset. - A FOX Step-Cast 34 Performance Series fork handles suspension duties up front with 120mm of travel and a GRIP damper that has Open, Medium, and Firm modes for every kind of terrain. - The hand-built Roval Control Carbon wheels feature a modern 25mm (internal width) hookless rim, so you get a low weight, low rolling resistance, and the best possible grip with the 2.3" tires. - An X-Fusion Manic seatpost brings you some much-needed drop for tackling steep descents, but it also features a zero-offset design that keeps your weight over the bottom bracket for the climbs. - An X-Fusion Manic seatpost brings you some much-needed drop for tackling steep descents, but it also features a zero-offset design that keeps your weight over the bottom bracket for the climbs.
With all of the growth in full-suspension XC bikes, we found that hardtails were starting to become a little same old, same old. So we thought to ourselves, 'What better time than now to shake things up with a modern, revolutionary design?' Say hello to the Epic Hardtail Expert. It's one of the lightest frames we've ever made, tipping the scales around 1175g. And to make it this light, we built the entire frame from our superlative FACT 11m carbon fiber, and then we took some cues from our road bikes. We borrowed the Rider-First Engineered concept that originated with the Tarmac. Now, the frame design applies specificity to every tube size and carbon layup for every frame size. This creates the optimal balance of rigidity, weight, and responsiveness, so every frame, regardless of size, performs just as we intended. We've also tweaked the geometry for more speed and stability by slacking-out the head tube angle, lengthening the top tube, and correcting the seat tube angle. This way, it feels more planted than ever, and frankly, it's stupid fast. We also widened the rear spacing to 12x148mm and included internal split-housing cable routing. For the build, this Epic Hardtail successfully balances value with performance, with a custom-tuned RockShox SID fork with Brain, SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed shifting, and quick-to-accelerate Roval Control Carbon wheels. - By pairing a FACT 11m carbon fiber frame with our XC 29 Geometry, this Epic places a focus on revolutionary tube angles and light overall weight for explosive speed and nimble handling on the race circuit. - SRAM's 12-speed GX Eagle groupset, with its 10-50t cassette, provides a wide gear range that lets you spin up the climbs, yet have plenty of top end for the descents. One-by setups also decrease weight and make it next to impossible to drop a chain. - Roval's new Control Carbon wheels have many of the hallmarks of the Control Sl wheels, like a 25mm internal width, and a new shape—making traction, low weight, and durability all top priorities.

If you show us a trail rider that says they couldn't use more traction, we'll show a trail rider that's never ridden our Fuse. We like to call it the ultimate trail hardtail, and with a 27.5+ tire system, this becomes more than just talk. Its 27.5 x 3.0" tires put out more traction, more floatation, and better handling without sacrificing anything to efficiency on climbs. And to solidify itself as a sweet trail machine, this iteration of the Fuse places a focus on blending tough-as-nails durability with reliable performance. This meant spec'ing it with strong alloy rims, a bulletproof one-by drivetrain with plenty of hammering and climbing ability, and an SR Suntour fork with 120mm of travel. It has everything you need to ride harder and go faster, and nothing that you don't. - The frame features an A1 Premium Aluminum construction that provides an ideal blend of efficiency and durability. - An SR Suntour XCM32 6Fattie fork features stiff 32mm stanchions and up to 120mm of smooth travel. - Shimano Deore shifting kit is precise and damn tough, so it can face down rock gardens and rough trails while still providing accurate and reliable shifting.
Take a look at the world's strongest man, and you're not going to find some chiseled Adonis. You're going to find someone who has more volume. Behind the "extra" surface area, though, there's a man that can dominate a caber toss and run down the tarmac with a plane in tow. Mathematically, it could be broken down as more volume + versatility = dominance, and that's exactly what's at play with the Fuse Comp. Our 6Fattie Wheel/Tire System uplifts the Fuse to have more traction and control than any hardtail before it, while its no-nonsense build is custom spec'd to get the job done, no matter how rugged, technical, or hair raising that job might be. Even better, this system also allows you the opportunity to toggle between 29-inch wheels (not included) and 6Fattie wheels, allowing the ultimate in configuration options for the trail at hand. - M4 Aluminum with Smooth Welds proved to be the right material for the job, allowing a lightweight, durable frame with a low and slack geometry that's equal parts snappy and efficient on climbs and descents. It also allowed us to incorporate our exclusive Diamond Stay that accommodates the 6Fattie wheels/tires without compromising on our hallmark short chainstays that provide unrivaled handling and climbing prowess. - A Manitou Machete 29/6Fattie fork features up to 120mm of plush, trail-taming travel. It's also air-sprung for smooth travel and low stiction, plus it has an adjustable rebound and compression lockout for more efficiency on the climbs. - A durable SRAM NX 11-speed rear derailleur gives you reliable access to a wide range of gears.
If you haven't ridden on 27.5+ tires, we challenge you to do it and not walk away with a stoked-out grin. Case in point is the Fuse Comp Carbon. To start, it lives by the philosophy that more tire volume results in more speed. It might be a claim that sounds flipped on its head, but one ride and you'll be shouting it from the rooftops. These bigger tires put out more traction, more floatation, and better handling without sacrificing anything to efficiency on climbs. And then there's everything else that makes it ride like a proper trail machine. This Fuse places a focus on blending durability, performance, and utility. To do so, we spec'd it with a bulletproof SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain, a sweet dropper post, and a RockShox Revelation RC fork with 120mm of buttery smooth travel. And exclusive to the Fuse family with this model, utility is finally covered with the addition of integrated storage at the downtube via our SWAT Door. - FACT 10m carbon fiber frame construction blends stiffness with light weight to form the pinnacle of efficiency, while internal routing tubes and integrated a SWAT Door create a tidy aesthetic and zero-hassle storage. - A RockShox Revelation RC fork handles suspension up front with ease, soaking up bumpy terrain with 120mm of plush travel. - SRAM's 12-speed NX Eagle groupset features a wide gear range that delivers climbing and descending efficiency in spades. On top of this, the one-by setup is notorious for being next to impossible to drop a chain with, and it provides significant weight savings in comparison to a standard two-by setup.
We said it once, and we'll say it again—more volume means more speed. It might sound flipped on its head, but one ride on the Fuse Expert will have you shouting 27.5+ praises from the mountaintop. These bigger tires put out more traction, more floatation, and better handling without sacrificing anything to efficiency on climbs. And then there's everything else that makes it ride like a proper trail machine, like striking the perfect blend of performance and durability. This meant spec'ing it with strong alloy rims, a SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain, dropper post, and a plush RockShox Reba RL fork with 120mm of smooth travel. This Fuse is equally ready to take a beating and to hand one out to the trail. - M4 Aluminum with Smooth Welds proved to be the right material for the job, allowing a lightweight, durable frame with a low and slack geometry that's equal parts snappy and efficient on climbs and descents. It also allowed us to incorporate our exclusive Diamond Stay that accommodates the 27.5+ wheels & tires without compromising on our hallmark short chainstays. - A RockShox Reba RL 29/6Fattie fork features up to 120mm of plush, trail-taming travel. It's also air-sprung for smooth travel and low stiction, and it has an adjustable rebound and compression lockout for more efficiency on the climbs. - SRAM's 12-speed NX Eagle groupset features a wide gear range that delivers climbing and descending efficiency in spades. If you're thinking about taking the plunge into XC racing, do it with the Chisel Comp. It embodies all of the qualities you'd expect from an XC race bike, like light overall weight, incredible stiffness, and a race-oriented geometry—all with one-by gearing, too. Consider it the vessel that's bringing performance to the masses. Traditional welding methods create frame joints by connecting tubes to cylinders, leaving the performance and security of the connection up to the skill of the welder. D'Aluisio (DSW), however, allows us to move the joint away from the area of the highest stress, making for a lighter frameset that's stiff, compliant, and incredibly strong—the optimal characteristics of a hardtail XC rig. So what does this mean for you? You'll be powering up climbs, shredding singletrack, and everything in between on a bike that has you questioning why alloy's gotten such a bad rap. And to further improve this feel, the Chisel also features our XC geometry, which took our previous XC race geo and added some trail DNA to the mix. This equates to a longer top tube, a shortened head tube, and a slacked out front-end, the result of which is a tremendous increase in downhill stability, plus a wider range of fit. And just as importantly, this doesn't require any sacrifice of climbing proficiency. The build on this Chisel features a Shimano SLX one-by setup for ease of use along with a wide range of gears. You'll also find powerful MT500 Deore hydraulic disc brakes, the renowned RockShox Judy fork with up to 100mm of travel (size-specific), and 25-millimeter-wide alloy wheels that are optimized for weight and traction. - Given its lightweight and ultra-stiff characteristics, M5 aluminum was the natural choice for the frame's construction. And when complemented with our speed-focused XC 29 Geometry, D'Aluisio Smartweld technology, and internal cable routing, you get a bike that compromises nothing in delivering explosive speed, confident handling, and hassle-free maintenance. - Rocks and bumps are soaked up via the RockShox Judy Gold fork with 90/100 millimeters of travel (size-specific). It features proprietary technology from RockShox, like its Solo Air spring, that maintains an ideal equilibrium, as well as being one of the lightest air springs on the market. - The Shimano Deore SLX rear derailleur is durable, precise, and will keep you shifting crisply for miles to come.
Often times, carbon gets all of the attention, but as our Senior Advanced R&D Engineer, Chuck Teixeira, says, "If you haven't ridden an aluminum bike lately, you haven't ridden an aluminum bike." And with its D'Aluisio Smartweld frame, the Chisel Expert with two-by gearing is no exception. And when complemented with our speed-focused XC 29 Geometry, D'Aluisio Smartweld technology, and internal cable routing, you get a bike that compromises nothing in delivering explosive speed, confident handling, and hassle-free maintenance. - A custom RockShox Reba RL 29 fork offers up 90/100mm of smooth travel (size-specific), while an easily accessible compression and rebound adjusts permit you to customize the feel according to the terrain at hand. - SRAM's 12-speed NX Eagle groupset, with its 11-50t cassette, provides a wide gear range that lets you spin up the climbs, yet have plenty of top end for the descents. One-by setups also decrease weight and make it next to impossible to drop a chain.
A perfect introduction to your world of XC riding and racing, the Epic Comp Carbon features all of the same frame technologies that are found in its older siblings, only with a build that lets you give racing a try without breaking the bank. Racecourses have evolved over the past few years. They're more technical, steeper, and more challenging to ride. But instead of quivering in our boots, we saw this as an opportunity to make something special—something that both World Cup athletes and XC riders alike can instantly feel the benefit from. We looked at the sum of parts that make a bike handle well, like the head angle, reach, stack, chainstay length, fork offset, etc., and reevaluated all of it. Increasing the reach made a bike that was more stable at speed and generally more comfortable to ride. Dropper posts? Yep, those fit, and not just a short-travel XC option, but full-length droppers that fit in the 30.9mm seat tube. Head angle? We slacked that out, but not without evaluating the overall handling package. It now lands on a custom offset, 42mm fork that works with the slacker head angle in order to behave itself in tight corners and through switchbacks. Next comes Brain 2.0. The original Brain changed the way the bike world looked at suspension, both in its inefficiencies and benefits alike. And oh, was it good. It won races and put a flag in the ground for us as a true leader in innovation and suspension development, but we knew that we could make it better. Simple physics told us that, by moving the Brain closer to the rear axle, it would be in the most sensitive spot. And after countless hours with the RockShox team, the Brain became more than just a slight upgrade. It's totally reborn. Now, it reacts seamlessly to bump forces, it has much more consistent damping performance, and finally, it integrates the hoses into the suspension links. This, in turn, improves oil paths, and it creates an incredibly sleek package that outperforms anything on the market. The Epic also has a rider Rider-First Engineered™ design that places complex carbon pieces in all the right places, and this greatly increases stiffness in the front-end for a vast improvement in ride quality and control. To go along with this, each frame size has size-specific tubes that result in the stiffest, best riding XC bike we've ever developed—no matter the frame size. And while stiffness, Brain technology, and geometry features are cool and all, we know what you’re thinking, "What about weight?" We’re glad you asked. With the goal of the Epic to be the fastest XC mountain bike we’ve ever made, weight was at the top of our priorities list. We started with an efficient frame layout and tube shapes that feature clean cable routing, an integrated shock oil channel, straight tubes with fewer bends, and optimized torsion profiles in every section. And, if you’re curious, this weight savings is equivalent to shedding a chainstay and shock extension from the previous Epic—nearly 525 grams. The build of the Epic Comp is value-packed, featuring an 11-speed SRAM NX 12-speed groupset, SRAM Level TL brakes, and a Roval Control alloy wheelset. Get ready, because this is going to be Epic. - Full fact 11m carbon fiber frame combines stiffness, strength, and light overall weight to deliver an off-the-hook race bike. Meanwhile, the new geometry, RockShox Brain shock, and 100mm of travel make the Epic the best handling, fastest XC rig you've been on. - A RockShox Reba RL fork soaks up the bumps up front and features both compression and rebound adjustments. - The 12-speed SRAM NX Eagle groupset brings the performance of Eagle at a doable price point.
Lightweight carbon frame? Check. Industry-leading suspension technology? Oh yeah. Race-ready build kit? You know it. The Epic Expert is not only ready to shine in races, but it's also ready to put your closest buddies in the pain cave on the weekends. Racecourses have evolved over the past few years. Cross country courses are nothing like they used to be. Today's tracks have more in common with trail riding than the pancake flat NORBA courses of yesteryear. For this reason, we threw away the hardtail rulebook and drafted our own chapter to create the Epic Hardtail Comp. We took a revolutionary new frame design and spec'd it specifically for the rigors of racing contemporary XC courses. For the build, this Epic takes value to new heights with a custom-tuned RockShox Reba RL fork, 12-speed SRAM NX Eagle shifting, and fast rolling Roval Control Alloy wheels. - By pairing a FACT 11m carbon fiber frame with our XC 29 Geometry, this Epic places a focus on revolutionary tube angles and light overall weight for explosive speed and nimble handling on the race circuit. - The RockShox Reba RL 29 fork offers up 90/100mm of smooth travel, while easily accessible compression and rebound adjusts permit you to customize the feel according to the terrain at hand. - One-by 12-speed shifting is provided by a durable SRAM NX Eagle component spec.
