We should all have a Stella. She gets better every
year; brighter, lighter, and easier to ride with.
Still super-compact and light (the lithium- ion battery version weighs in at 300 grams for the whole system), the 2009 Stella generates an additional 20 lumens more than the 2008 model, for a total of 200 lumens, hence the name.
Those guys at Light and Motion keep the innovations coming at you, this time in the form of the easiest- to-use mounting system we've encountered. The bar mount is integrated into the base of the light, and uses a simple, durable rubber strap, which snaps into place. Helmet mounting is simple as well. Just wrap the strap around the supplied helmet perch and snap it in. No tools required!
Don't worry about riding all night, you'll get four hours of full- burn (200 lumens), eight hours at 100 lumens, and eighteen hours of 50 lumens. If you're using the Stella for commuting, one charge could last all week. If you do exhaust her, the Stella 200L will charge back up in under two hours. If you approach the danger zone, Stella's low-battery warning will tell you to back off, and if you ignore that warning, emergency auto shut-off will keep the battery healthy.
The Stella comes with helmet and bar mounts, a battery, velcro battery strap, AC multi-chemistry smart charger, and LED light head.
