The Arione by Fizik became one of our best-selling saddles in it's debut year. When the refined CX version came out, things only got better for fans of the Arione's flat profile, elongated shape, and Wing Flex technology. The CX was lighter, without giving up any comfort, and slightly less bulky as well. Fizik takes it another step further. Are you ready to keep up?
The Arione CX Carbon uses the same lightweight foam and composite shell as the k:ium-railed Arione CX, with several slits cut in the forward edges of the underside of the saddles wings. That is Wing Flex Technology; the slits let the shell bend and flex just enough to get out of the way of your thighs as you pedal, but allow the shell to remain firm enough for support and power transfer. The big difference is the rails. They're, you guessed it, carbon fiber. This drops the weight of the Arione CX Carbon to 179 grams; 40 grams lighter than the Arione CX k:ium. The braided carbon rails are reinforced at the saddle clamp area, so it's imperative to keep the clamp and the rails properly aligned, and follow the torque specs!
